2007
will see the start of a vigorous and ongoing campaign for Clarke
Offshore Racing, competing in some of the world’s most prestigious
short-handed yacht racing in the new and exciting Class 40.
Class
40 is the rising star of the short-handed racing circuit, due
in part to the success of the Open 60 class and the need for
an affordable stepping stone to this expanding group of larger
yachts.
Clarke
Offshore Racing’s Class 40 has been designed as a powerful reaching
boat for the Trans Jacques Vabre and Route de Rhum. The sailplan
allows for competitive upwind and light airs sailing and the
optimised deck layout is ideal for both short-handed sailing
and long-distance ocean racing.
“The rapid growth of this new Class has shaken the world
of yachting.”
